This is just my expression of love and gratitude for my favorite childhood anime and the people that enabled us to be able to experience it all over again in playable form over 20 years later. And it just plain kicks ass! The music is great, it's fun, the side quests are interesting and the work on the art direction and amount of respect for Toriyama's work on display is outstanding. It inspired us, thrilled us, and was always fun to talk about with other hardcore fans. DBZ was a pathway to all of our friendships. My friends and I would stay up hours in college playing Guitar Hero, Budokai 3 and Budokai Tenkaichi when they released respectively and then in tandem. The DBZ games of the past, including the ones I experienced with my various 8 to 16-bit console emulators back in the day all seemed to culminate all previous influence and love for the series in one supreme package.

From back when I was playing GT: Final Bout and the original PSX "Legends"/"The Greatest Dragon Ball Legend" I dreamed of a future where I could play out the battles in` the show. From the free and fast flight, to the hard-hitting and exciting battles it's everything I've ever wanted in a DBZ game. Dragon Ball Z : Kakarot has been a joy to experience. Not too often do true gems made just for the fans come along.
