Device sucks and anyone still selling any variant of this device in 2020 is only scamming customers. Tried AmCAP, Honestech, VirtualVCR, VirtualDUB, VideoView and VLC, in all available Video Standards. I tried all drivers mentioned in this post and couldnt install any of them. The device is automatically recognized as USB2.0 PC CAMERA instead of video capture software. Im running Windows 10 and my device has VID 18ec and PID 5555. Then used VLC player to view and record the video. I downloaded a program called DriverMax (sorry dont remember the link) installed it and run it, it found sum drivers out dated, I looked for the Smi grabber driver in the list and select update.
I captured video from a VCR and camcorder, very disappointed in the result and regret buying the device, but I guess you get what you pay for. After hours of frustration I was able to get Easier Cap to work with my Windows 8.1 Dell laptop by changing the default mic setting on my computer and there was no need of installing unsigned drivers.
